Try the handicraft of throwing

From 4 June to 27 September, you can try the handicraft of throwing on the Pottery Workshop’s outdoor veranda – an activity suitable for both children and adults!

  • During this 20-minute session, we immerse ourselves in the fascinating world of clay, each working at our own pottery wheel. You will receive a lump of clay, borrow an apron, get a brief introduction, and enjoy guidance from an instructor throughout the entire throwing experience. Let your hands do the work, your creativity flow, and be inspired to explore the craft further.

    Each session accommodates up to four participants. Firing and glazing are not included, but you are welcome to take your handmade piece home in a bag. If you would like to let the clay air-dry while you explore Skansen during the day, you may leave it on a shelf at your own risk. Please remember to collect your piece the same day, as nothing will be stored overnight. Welcome!

    Dates: Saturday–Sunday through September 27
    Duration: 20 minutes per session. The first session starts at 11:00 and the last session starts at 4:00.
    Location: On the Pottery Workshop’s veranda (covered).
    Price: 159 sek per person. Admission to Skansen is not included.
    Age: From 6 years and up.
