Hardware store
The period illustrated by the premises in the ironmongery, or hardware store, is the 1930s. The fittings date originally from the 1880s though the interior was partially modernized in the 1930s.

The Co-op Store
The Co-op Store sold milk and bread. Milk was sold by volume, based on the idea that consumer-owned stores could provide better, cheaper goods. Come in and experience shopping in the 1930s.
