Buföring - Livestock drifting

In former times, before midsummer occurred, the farmers moved their livestock to summer pasture farms.

  • It was a great highlight and a festive break in everyday life. The drifting was always practised by the whole family and no one was allowed to remain in the village. It could be miles of wandering for the farmers and the livestock. Once they arrived to the summer pasture farm the celebrations started. Join us at Moragården/Fäboden
