  • The autumn leave (höstlov, in Swedish) is a wonderful time to explore Skansen together. Follow the winding paths through the park, get up close to Nordic wildlife and discover Sweden’s native farm animal breeds. Step inside our historic houses and farmsteads to experience how people lived and worked in the past.

    During the autumn school holiday, Skansen usually offers extra activities for children and families, combining play, learning and exciting discoveries. There’s always something new to explore, whether you’re curious about animals and nature, history or Swedish traditions.

    For those looking for a little extra excitement, Skansen’s Halloween celebrations offer just the right amount of spooky fun as dusk settles over the park.
