Skansen applies both the Consumer Sales Act and the Distance Contracts Act. To make a purchase, you must be of legal age or have the consent of a guardian. Skansen reserves the right to update these terms and conditions. The applicable version is the one that was published at the time of purchase.
2. Prices and payments
All prices are listed in Swedish kronor including VAT. When purchasing on the website, the prices listed on the website apply; other prices may be available for in-store purchases.
Payment is made via the payment methods listed on the website, such as Visa/Mastercard and other approved digital payment solutions.
Skansen reserves the right to adjust prices. Skansen reserves the right to any inaccuracies on websites and in printed materials. Skansen is not responsible for any fees that may be charged by your bank or payment service provider.3. Ticket and season pass purchase
3.1 Entrance Tickets
Entrance tickets are valid for the date specified at the time of purchase. All ticket purchases are binding.
After completing the purchase, an order confirmation will be sent via email. The order confirmation is also your receipt for the purchase. It is important for the buyer to check that the order confirmation has been received and is correct.
Upon purchasing entrance tickets, the buyer will receive a digital voucher with a QR code via email with the order confirmation and via SMS. The tickets can then be scanned at the turnstiles for immediate entry or shown at a manned ticket booth. Digital entry tickets can be resent to the email address provided at the time of purchase.
The entrance ticket is a valuable document that must not be copied or resold.
3.2 Annual Pass
Upon purchasing an annual pass, the buyer will receive a digital annual pass via email with the order confirmation and via SMS. The annual pass is scanned at the entrance barrier for entry and is activated upon the first visit. Annual passes must be activated no later than 60 days after purchase. The card must be presented at each visit and can only be used by the holder. Adult season ticket holders must be able to verify their identity with an ID card upon request from staff. Abuse is punishable and results in the card being temporarily or permanently blocked. The card can be blocked without the right to a refund. Lost physical annual passes can be blocked and replaced for an administrative fee according to the current price list. Annual pass holders can receive special offers and discounts in Skansen’s shops and restaurants. These benefits may change over time. When purchasing a physical annual pass, the card must be collected at Skansen’s entrance during regular opening hours.
4. Rescheduling and Right of Withdrawal
4.1 Entrance Tickets
Cancellation and rebooking of entrance tickets are possible until the day before the visit via “My Pages”.
4.2 Annual Pass
For annual passes, there is a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase, provided the pass has not been activated (first visit registered) or collected. If the annual pass has been activated or collected, the right of withdrawal ceases and no refund will be made.
4.3 Rescheduling
Rescheduling of entrance tickets is possible until 10:00 AM on the day of the visit via “My Pages.”
4.4 Cancelled event or park closure
If Skansen is forced to cancel larger events or close the entire park or parts of it, rebooking to a new date or an equivalent experience will be offered as the first option. If rebooking is not possible, a full refund will be offered. In case of cancellation due to force majeure, see point 6.
5. Complaints
If the buyer feels that the purchased product or experience does not meet expectations, they are encouraged to contact the ticket office staff during their visit as a first step, and then via email as a second option. Complaints must always be made within 30 days of the buyer discovering, or having reason to discover, that what the buyer purchased from Skansen did not meet expectations. After one month has passed, they lose their right to claim. Contact information can be found at the bottom of the terms and conditions.
6. Force majeure
Skansen is not responsible for unsatisfactory conditions resulting from acts of war, natural disasters, national or regional strikes, outbreaks of illness, pandemics, water or energy disruptions, fire, or other similar events that no party involved can foresee or influence. Skansen has no obligation to provide refunds or compensation for financial loss resulting from force majeure events. This means that if a visit has to be interrupted or cancelled due to force majeure, the buyer will not be refunded for any costs incurred in connection with the visit.
