Let's dance with Dansmuseet: Breaking

Let your body move to the music when Dansmuseet, the Museum of Dance, visits Skansen!

  • Between May and September 2025, Dansmuseet will be coming to Skansen, inviting you to try out different dance styles under the guidance of experienced teachers. Each occasion offers dance opportunities for the youngest members of the family as well as for adults who would like to dance.

    Each occasion is held on the Bollnäs square dance floor for about 30 minutes. No prior knowledge is required – just curiosity and the joy of dancing!

    Breaking is a dance style within Streetdance that has a lot of attitude and cool moves. Light and playful, we try out different breaking movements to hip-hop music. From 4 years and above.

  • AboutDansmuseet

    Dansmuseet is a world-class museum for dance and movement, founded in Stockholm by Rolf de Maré in 1953. The museum’s activities include exhibitions, performances, music experiences and workshops.

    In January 2025, Dansmuseet closed due to financial difficulties. The museum is currently working to open in a new location in 2027/2028. In the meantime, Dansmuseet offers dance experiences in other ways – in 2025 Skansen is among them.
