When is Skansen open on New Year’s Eve?
Skansen is open 10.00–16.00 for daytime visits, for anyone who would like to explore the park and enjoy what’s on offer.
We open again at 20.00 for anyone who would like to take part in the evening programme and count down to midnight with us.

How do I take part in the countdown celebration at Solliden Stage?
The New Year countdown at Skansen is broadcast live from Solliden stage by SVT and runs from 23.25–00.15
As this is a popular event, we recommend arriving well in advance, as there may be queues to enter the Solliden Stage area.
There is no bag ban.

Do I need a special ticket for the countdown celebration?
No separate ticket is required, a regular admission or a Skansen annual pass is valid.
We recommend buying your ticket in advance to enter the park more quickly, and you’ll also get the best price online:
- For those who want to visit Skansen both during the day and in the evening – choose the New Year’s Eve combo ticket
- If you only want to visit Skansen during the day or in the evening, choose a regular One-Day ticket
Note that children aged 0–15 have free admission, but they need their own digital ticket.

Accessibility at Solliden stage
Designated spaces for wheelchairs and mobility scooters are available on the stands to the right of Solliden stage.
Please follow the signage on site.

What are the rules for bringing a bag?
The countdown celebration is not subject to any bag ban.

About fireworks
It’s not allowed to bring fireworks or lanterns to the Skansen area.
