The Skansen Collection

Since 2015, you can find our very own collection on our shelves. The Skansen collection is inspired by the history, culture and nature represented at Skansen. In the collection you will find everything from textiles and accessories to ceramics and souvenirs.

Skansen’s Clothing collections and the cultural treasure that the collection constitutes have been used as inspiration for the Skansen collection’s textiles, which consist of pillowcases, towels, clothing and accessories. A folk costume jacket from Dalafloda, a dress from the 1920s and different types of stripes found in folk costumes all over the country have been used as the model for some of our patterns. Welcome to take part in the entire Skansen collection on site at Skansen or our web shop!

Skansen Recrafted

Together with Skansen’s clothing collection we have developed a collection of recycled cushion covers – Skansen Recrafted, a contemporary series of cushion covers made from textiles and waste.

The textiles in Skansen Recrafted come from different eras and all the materials used in the production, even details such as zippers and buttons, were already available at Skansen. The cushion covers are sewn by hand by the Klädkammaren’s seamstresses. Recycling and local production at its best! Some are also available in our webshop.
