Silver press

Gustaf Möllenborg’s Goldsmith’s workshop from the 1840s provided most of the artefacts on display. His firm in Stockholm was one of the most famous of the day in the 19th century. Möllenborg introduced machinery into the profession, thereby making production much more efficient. The powerful silver press, that is now on the ground floor, enabled him to produce silver semi-manufactures. These were then finished in the workshops on the upper floor.
