Ransäter Storehouse
Buildings like this were used for storing the supplies of food that were necessary when people grew their own food. To keep rats and other vermin at bay, storehouses were strongly built and kept in good condition. The storehous is built of logs and roofed with turf and equipped with a porch on the front. It comes from a farm in the parish of Ransäter in Värmland. One of the logs bears the inscription 1694.
